If you’re into childhood friends turned lovers, unrequited love or twists that leave you in shambles, then this is the book for you. I went into this expecting a contract styled marriage and instead I get this unrequited love limbo that makes me want to sigh.Īll in all, Black Swan Affair is an angst-filled story that will leave you tearing at the seams and wanting nothing more than to just jump inside and shake some characters. What gave me whiplash in the beginning was the fact that Mav and Kael have been best friends since forever. Not the best time, but hey, you gotta start at some point. Makes you actually feel bad for the guy who you’ve spent so much time learning to hate.īut more or less, what you should expect from this story is a slow-burn romance and the death of another that only begins post marriage.
